The eScholar leadership team has decades of experience in applying data warehouse, decision support and business intelligence technologies to Fortune 100 companies but more importantly to the increasingly more complex world of education.  Over the last decade they have assembled a dedicated team of software and services professionals who are focused on delivering the most effective data management solutions.

 

Shawn Bay, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Shawn Bay is one of the originators of data warehousing. As CEO and Founder of eScholar, Mr. Bay leads the company’s vision to enable the education community to use data to improve education outcomes and achieve dreams. Mr. Bay founded eScholar to provide data systems to K-12 school districts and state education agencies in an affordable, reliable and continually evolving way. By working closely with educators to support the data needs of their initiatives, Mr. Bay has gained extensive knowledge and experience in data quality issues, data sources and successful approaches to applying data to improve education. He holds a Masters Degree in finance and marketing and an undergraduate degree in economics. Mr. Bay began his career as a Marketing Analyst at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati and advanced to lead Information Systems for the Unilever PLC food business in the United States. Mr. Bay founded the parent company of eScholar LLC, a data warehousing consulting firm in 1992.

Wolf Boehme, President

As President, Wolf Boehme manages the day to day operations of eScholar LLC and is an active participant in sales and customer management. His experience as a member of the leadership team at Bloomberg LP from an early stage, and as COO of Xceed, Inc. and Promotions.com (now part of NBC Universal), has provided him with strong experience in building and managing a successful information technology company.   Mr. Boehme is applying his expertise in developing information technology tools to improving the quality and effectiveness of education.

 

Stuart Colvin , eScholar Fellow

Stuart Colvin’s 25 years of experience leading software development teams provide him with the insights and discipline necessary to produce powerful and reliable solutions. His background includes involvement in numerous software development and business intelligence projects that span the globe. In 1998 he worked with eScholar to design and implement the first education data warehouse for Niagara Falls School District in New York. Mr. Colvin then joined eScholar LLC and has played the role of chief architect and designer in the evolution of the eScholar Complete Data Warehouse® solution. His continuous attention to elegant design, expandability and standards has been key to the reliability and robustness of the eScholar products. In his role as eScholar Fellow, Mr. Colvin provides architectural direction, business technology insight and perspective to eScholar staff and customers.
